Barbour County E911 located in Philippi WV replaced Verint Audiolog Voice Logger with the New NexLog 740 Digital Voice logger made by Eventide. The Verint Audiolog operating system was Microsoft and support of the OS (operating System) was going to be discontinued.  The Nexlog that they have invested in is Linux based. Linux will continue to be supported by Eventide for as long as you own your equipment unlike Microsoft OS based products.

The new Eventide also has the ability to tag all 911 calls with (ANI Automatic Number Identifier and ALI Automatic Location Identifier) caller information that includes Street address, Phone Number, type of call, caller Name, caller phone number, Location and Longitude, Latitudes of wireless caller.  The users can now quickly find calls in the data based on any of the above information. Management can also use more than one search field at a time to find the calls that they need quickly. They can search data base for a particular phone number as well when 911 called the same number which saves them a lot of time when searching for an incident. The old system did not allow for that type of search. 

The Eventide has given the Dispatchers the ability to Instantly Replay any Radio or Phone call from their CAD Computer to make certain they understood the communication.  This was an added advantage from the old system that did not have the Instant Replay feature. 

The NexLog comes standard with Redundancy built in.  The standard Configuration includes Hot-swap Power supplies and Hot-Swap Hard drives. This allows our factory trained service Technicians to replace parts without the need to shut down the system. No down time means no loss of calls that you may need.  

Barbour County has complemented US-PS on our preventative maintenance service that keeps their system up to date with the latest firmware as well as dust free inside and out. That is one of the many differences between US-PS and our competitors.
